Our Board
The members of our board of directors are thought leaders who have made a significant contribution to our society. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
Nana Danjuma
Director
Nana Danjuma is a fashion designer, Architect and Life coach based in Plateau state, Nigeria. Nana hails from Yobe state Nigeria and attended Abubakar Tafa-Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi state Nigeria, where she obtained her Bachelor of technology in architecture. Nana got married to Mr. Bashir Danjuma on the 10th April, 2004 and the union was blessed with two lovely children.
However, six years into her marriage, she lost her loving husband to the cold hands of death in the year 2010. After the demise of Nana's husband, she plunged into depression but recovered by rediscovering herself, discovering what she's passionate about and helping other widows and the vulnerable in the society to battle depression, rediscovering themselves and empower them spiritually, emotionally and economically.
Dr. Mary D Ari
Board member
Dr. Mary D. Ari holds a doctorate degree in virology and her scientific and public health career spans the last 40 years. She is a savvy scientific leader with ability to work in culturally diverse settings, working with domestic and international partners. She is passionate about growing leaders and invests time in mentoring at her job, in the church, the community and her family. Dr. Ari is a recognized expert on infectious diseases with extensive experience in research, public health investigations, laboratory science, research, and management, and providing technical consultation: She was part of the team that did the pioneering work on HIV AIDS in Nigeria in the late 80s and served the community on several occasions through the 90s in the investigation and control of outbreaks of various infectious diseases.
Elizabeth J. Sara
Board member
Elizabeth J. Sara has Master of Science degree in Applied Parasitology /Public health (1990) and BSC Degree in zoology (1982) at University of Maiduguri and ABU Zaria respectively. Obtained several postgraduate certificates in various fields of Governance, Management, Epidemiology, MNCH, Immunization, Vaccine safety and management WASH/Hygiene etc. She has more than 15 years’ experience in international development mainly focused on public health, Governance including Citizen’s engagement in Public financial management, Voice and accountability and policy Advocacy, water, and environment. Also, experience working in broad public health space over 25 years cutting across Government at sub and National levels, where she managed several programmes viz: tropically neglected diseases, Malaria control, Avian influencer human desk officer etc. Voluntarily retired from Government as a director in the department of disease control and international health to join international development partners.
